Revolution Brewpub Winter Wedding

Rebecca + Jay | 01.25.2020

It was a typical Chicago winter day - cold, windy, and a mix of rain and snow. But there was one aspect that set it apart from any of the other winter days - it was the day Rebecca and Jay would vow their love to one another in front of their friends and family.

The location that they chose to celebrate their love was none other than Chicago’s Revolution Brewpub in Logan Square. However, the day started at the eclectic and beautiful Hotel Lincoln in Lincoln Park. I met Rebecca and Jay in their room where they were getting ready. They both were calm and happy - a great combo for a wedding day.

After Rebecca and Jay finished getting ready, we went down to the 2nd floor of Hotel Lincoln to do a “first look”. The look on Jay’s face says it all.

Ceremony

It was now time to head to Revolution Brewpub for the ceremony. We first spent some time taking photos and even got to go where they brew the beer!

Reception

After the ceremony, the reception kicked off with the newlyweds making their grand entrance! They then cut their wedding cake, which Rebecca found extremely funny - I guess Jay doesn’t cut many cakes? It was perfect and really sums these two up - fun and carefree. Dinner followed with speeches from Jay’s mom, dad, and Rebecca’s sisters. After dinner, Rebecca and Jay had their first dance and then Jay danced with his mother. After that it was open dance floor! It was packed with people the entire night and everyone seemed to have a great time.

It was such a fun day. I truly had a great time and it was my honor to photograph their wedding. Both Rebecca and Jay are really great people and they truly love each other. It was so special to witness their big day. I wish you guys the best!
